A little history… Fairland Animal Hospital, Inc. is owned by Dr. Jeffrey D. Whall and his wife, Maggie. They purchased the practice in 1989 from Dr. Leonard Hollander.  In addition to starting their own business the Whalls became an instant family of five when Maggie gave birth to the triplets, Daniel, Thomas and Kelly.  Whew! 1989 was a busy year!

Fairland Animal Hospital is a thriving and growing hospital that specializes in small animal medicine and care. In 1989 the staff consisted of two, a veterinarian and a receptionist/technician to serve the thousand or so active clients.  Today Dr. Whall and Fairland Animal Hospital need a much larger staff to help serve more than five thousand clients!

The success of our practice is due to both the high quality veterinary services and also to the atmosphere that our hospital staff creates. Our hospital started as a small “family” and continues as a larger “family” of dedicated people who are compassionate and care about our extended “family” of client pets.

The Washingtonian Magazine and Consumers’ Checkbook Magazine listed  Fairland Animal Hospital in the “BEST VETS” category the last several years. Fairland will continue to strive for excellent medical and surgical care at an affordable price in meeting your pets’ needs.
